Van Dijk calm despite new contract talks.

Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk is in no rush to sign a new contract despite no progress at the moment.

The Netherlands international centre-back has remained a strong fixture in the Reds’ defence and has helped the team to a good start this season, but fans are concerned that the player’s contract is set to expire at the end of the season.

The reporter recently asked if there was any progress on the new contract, to which he replied via Sky Sports, “Nothing yet.”

Asked if there would be an update soon, Van Dijk added: “I don’t think so, but I’m not in a rush. As I said last month, we’ll see what happens in the future and I don’t have any updates right now.”

“Everything in this moment is about the game, for me and the team. Against Spurs (on Wednesday), it will be another tough game, but a good semi-final.”

Over recent weeks, despite Arne Slot’s team สมัคร UFABET วันนี้ รับเครดิตฟรีสำหรับสมาชิกใหม่ impressing on the pitch. It is contract talk that has dominated the headlines, with Mohamed Salah, Trent Alexander-Arnold and the Reds skipper all out of contract in the summer.

Whilst it has been rumour that the 33-year-old is closest to agreeing an extension, there has been no news of any breakthrough in negotiations which has led to unease amongst supporters especially now he is able to discuss a pre-contract agreement with overseas clubs.
